Not going to see a huge jump in anything going from two W3 12's to a MAW 15" if I'm understanding you right.

The Maw's are not quiet a type R and would be very comparable to W3's. In my opinion.

I understand that but the plan is to end up with 2 15's in the trunk, just getting there step by step.

If you really want to get rid of the w3's I would sell them then buy a maw15, since the w3's would have a higher monetary value to them.
