Anyone willing to loan a fellow board member a travel gps for a week?

Going to Disney World next Saturday through the following Wednesday (16th-20th). 12 hour drive. Just thought I'd ask. I don't honestly expect any "sure, okay" responses. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If I had the money, I'd buy one and just take it back, lol. Lame, I know, but it would make my life a little easier, rather than worrying about mapquesting the whole trip.

i live here...taking my mom and wife for the christmas parades week after next...

why do u need the gps? 10 east to 75 south to turnpike to i-4 bam, done...12 hours? whoa takes me 8 - 9 from the northern tip of alabama...drive faster...

what part of alabama?

Wish I could go that long. My last final is the 15th, and my fiance has to be back at work by the 22nd. We actually tried 2 weeks ago to book another night, but ALL the value resorts there are booked solid. Oh, well. This will be my 2nd time to go this year, so I can't be too upset. I've always wanted to go during Christmas time. Hopefully it won't be too crowded.

Near Huntsville.

I've driven once, I just want to try out a gps system cause I've wanted to buy one for a long time and figured this would be a good chance. I'm waiting for the alpine blackbird dock so I can hook it up to my d300, but they still havent' released it, and since it's x-mas time, I don't need to buy myself stuff that costs over $10. I honestly am not expecting someone to offer one up. More or less just wanted to make a post about something.

oooh, good idea. my fiance's got hers, and I actually downloaded microsoft streets earlier this year. I guess I can find a usb gps locator to connect to it....but then I'd also have to get an inverter...

might be worth a shot though.

well u can get the small one or 2 shot cig lighter inverter, and u can find the delorme gps on ebay real cheap, maybe not the newest but last years model...streets and trips is nice too, i use them both for my job, someones one wont have newer streets and the other one does and vice versa

think about it as a investment for the future, never know when the inverter could come in handy, lotta stuff u can power in the car that u had at home. And USB GPS's are pretty cheap.

wish I would've thought of this earlier. I doubt I'd get the gps receiver in on time. Leave next Saturday...
