Anyone want to help me pick out some subwoofers?

A little background info. My last subs were 2 12" Arc Audio Flatlines, each in a 1.5 cuft sealed box. They were powered by 1600 Class A/B watts, which my stock electrical system couldn't handle at loud volumes. The Flatlines were great woofers, but I want something louder. I plan on getting a completely new box, and having it ported. The dimensions for the box will be ~50in x 20 in x 14 in, So I'll have alot of room to work with. I'm debating going with 3 10's that handle anywhere from 500-700W a piece, or a single 15 that handles around 2kw.

Square or Circular is fine since the box will be built from the ground up. Let me know if there is anything I left out that would be helpful in the decision making process. I'd like to keep the subs under 5-600 dollars.

flatlines sealed with class ab is going to be hard to beat in sq imo, but you can try.

Fi seems to be on the up and comeing check them out, AA has subs going on Ebay that are "refurbished" but have a full warrenty,TC sounds has a few newsub comeing out here pretty soon can check into them....search around in the subwoofer forum for ideas...

I'm not going for as much SQ as my previous setup. I don't want a sloppy sub, but it's fine if it doesnt match the Arc in the SQ dept.

As for Fi, I don't know much about them. Are they more SPL or SQ oriented? Are they a quality sub?

i definately think its worth trying a good class d amp on your flatlines first. go to a car audio store and see if they will connect 1 ...just to see? good clean power to your flatlines might make em way louder if the class ab was struggling with the weaker electrics.
