Anyone used a Sundown 1500D and an IA 20.1?

Feature wise? They both have 0 ga. inputs? Obviously there is a 300W difference, but is the 20.1 worth the extra $$$ for 300W? Is the SAZ

Thanks for answering my n00b questions

Well...Ive heard that the SAZ-1500 is fine a .5 ohms, and does ~ok at .35 if you can keep the voltage up...

My 20.1s are tanks though, Ive run them down as low a 1/8 of an ohm... 0.125 ohms and I know people that have run them lower.

Bottom line, both are solid amps.

Well if I recall correctly. The IA 20.1 and the SAZ-1500D are built in the same build-house. Basically the Sundown SAZ-1500D is the baby version of the IA 20.1. Except that it isn't as much as a current hog as the IA 20.1 is. I still love my 20.1 and I use it for daily. Although it blew my sub (was my fault, clipped down to 9volts or so, amp still lived and didn't even do nothing to it).

Feature wise they are basically the same, just more power out of the IA 20.1. There's really no telling how much different there is because of how underrated both amps are imo. Is the 300watt the extra watts you need? It is worth the money if you need it. Because the IA 20.1 will put out fairly more then 1800wrms and the SAZ-1500D will put out more then 1500wrms.

I've owned a IA20.1 sure they are tanks and put out alot of power but you have to have a good electric and plus they dont start dropping alot of power until you get to rediculous low loads where the THD will rise alot... For a good daily system I'd go for the efficent SAZ for a comp car IA .

unless u got a good electrical sysetm..
as with any high powered amp. if someone says they have 4000 watts, 0 gauge wire, and one Wal-Mart battery, something tells me he doesn't have 4000 watts. The system as a whole has to support the other. Voltage is king. It's like sticking a race motor 502 in a Chevy pickup. You have the power, but it means nothing unless you get it down to the ground.
