Anyone Use a Alternator from singer alternators?

Tommorow I finally get time to do the big 4 instead of big 3 and see if this helps with keeping battery charged, Can i ground the battery and the alternator to frame? I know the battery gets grounded to chassis so Im putting big wire there as that wire is about 4-5 inches. Alt to battery positive, battery negative to chassis, battery negative to frame would that suffice or should I also do alt to frame as well?

Battery. To alt. batt to frame/ chassis. Batt to block batt to alt

So I understand lol Alt power to battery positive, battery negative to frame, battery negative to chassis, battery negative to block, battery negative to alt? alot of grounds lol more like big 6 lol

If your car is still starting without any kind of charge or jump, then it's not the battery.

EVERY Alt is grounded to the block of the motor unless you've got a plastic mounting system. When alts are tested before they leave my local shop they don't have an extra ground wire, just the bolt to hold it in place.

Remove the capacitor especially if you're running more than one amp. Once they discharge then the amps are starving for power. Where are you reading dropping to below 11v? Dmm on the battery, dash voltage meter or trusting the capacitor's digital readout?

Big 3 consists of battery positive to alt post (fused), battery ground to frame, frame to engine block. Then make sure your grounds on the amps are connected to the frame as well and that's it.

My amps are grounded on the trunk latch I believe... to ground to the frame from trunk would mean I have to drill a hole in trunk?

Don't ground to any latches. Seat belts. Or any other place that is a bolted on part. For the amps. You need a better ground. Yes you may need to drill a hole for it. It's better that way sand paint off and used a bolt and nut

There's your problem. You're interrupting the circuit with that much resistance (having to travel through the trunk latch and into the body into the frame and back to the battery).

Drill a hole and place a grommet there slide the wire through and use silicone to seal the gaps between the wire and grommet.
