Anyone Use a Alternator from singer alternators?

Hello everyone I bought a alternator from this company for my impala ss as I needed a H/O alternator for my system, Now before I installed alternator I got a new deep cycle autozone battery and a brand new belt. I have been communicating back and forth with Mike Singer about a problem that my car keeps dying after 3 days of car sitting, ill notice when in car Ill get 14 volts without a/c or audio on but once I turn on audio or a/c Ill get around 13.5 to 12.9 volts. The alternator I got is 200 amps, so I always thought I should be getting 14.5 volts even with a/c or audio on anyway once I park car and turn car off the volts will drop down to 12.5 or 12.7 then after a day of no driving it drops to 12.3-12.0, then another day it will drop down to to 11.4-11.0.!! The 3rd day the volts will read about drop all the way down to 5.0 volts!. I talked to mr singer and we been searching for solutions such as big 3 so far no such luck, Ive checked all fuses and I cannot figure out the problem here anyone got any experience with his alternators? If anyone has any tips on or solutions to my problem before I take alternator off and send back to Mr singer to see if alternator is bad please let me know Thanks!!

The battery brand new and this is the 3rd battery I replaced from autozone under warranty I have the platinum battery. The thing is this has only happened since I replaced alternator which is weird, I cant figure out why the battery is draining when car sits it just drains little by little.

it sounds like it may be a bad batt

I'm still skeptical about the battery though.... When you did the Big 3 did you leave the stock wiring or take it out?

I left stock wiring in, I used welding wire 2/0 which is in comparison is a little thicker than car audio wire zero guage.

How can I check if battery is bad? When the first battery died they replaced it with a brand new battery off the shelf

Do you have atleast 0 gauge for charging wire from alt to underhood batt as well as your original stock conections ..?

And do you Have the alt grounded with 0 gauge as well?

Wait a min I completely forgot I had a capacitor in the trunk, Im going to remove that this weekend so now the question is can the capacitor be causing this problem?
1. I'm sorry you have a cap...

2. Possibly

i'm the singer rep on the forum here , and i have a singer alt as well . sounds like a bad battery . i have had the same issue in the past with pep boys batts . had one changed 4 times before switching brands and got a good one . the third one they replaced and did a load test on site and found out that it was bad .you need agm battery not a regular battery . the only other thing that could drain the battery is either something is staying on or shorted

Ummm i did and you should run a separate ground to frame off the alt ... Some call this the big 4... Not just consider the alt grounded... And go head and point out where what I asked about leaving his stock conections in addition to the upgraded wire was discussed ..

Can never have enough grounds! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif
