i have it and it seems to work pretty good,,,goes on easy and is comparable to dynomat.

i didnt buy it cuz their in store ad was retarded

it had a bell that u could hit with a litltle mallet and it would ring, and then they had one that they had mat pasted all over it, and when u hit it it wouldnt make a noise cuz it had shit all over it it couldnt resonate....

Dynomat used to use similar in store BS like that too. They would have 2 pieces of dangling metal. One covered one not and they had a little mallet to hit them with.

Does anyone know if the new Hush Mat products are butyl? They claim no heat to install which seems to be a main selling point of most the other butyl products.

Well in the FAQ they don't come out and say it is butyl based, but they definitely say it isn't asphalt.

They seem to be pretty expensive as well over other choices that will do just as good, if not better.

Also Second skin has a video of Ant doing the same thing about one with their product on it and one with out. I don't hear anyone saying something to him about that.

hushmat is fine guys. They even offer a black foil based one too.

here is a pic of hushmat that was installed on my friends trunklid(its the black one, the silver is raamat). he said its holding up fine hasnt seen a sign of failure yet.

Rudeboy said their products are better than decent but he felt the foil backing could have been thicker iirc and on the black version he said there was some plastic on backing(possibly to get it to turn black).

Yes I understand this forum has an allegiance and loyalty to SS, hooray for you. That's not what this thread is about. I just wanted to know if Hush used good materials and were reputable, that's why I did a search this AM and bumped this. Take your banner waving fan boi shit and stick it.

I have a place locally I can get it and it is only minimally more than me ordering SS products. That's why I bumped this with questions. I don't mind paying a little more just to run down the street and get it. I just wanted to make sure it was a kosher product to replace this **** worthless protecto wrap BS.

Compared it next to my fatmat and I well.............. lol!

Hushmat is good though. I used it on my protege5 when I had it, but it didn't come in black foil then. Took most of the vibrations out, but after 150dbs is hard to quiet everthing down. I recommend it, just a little pricey. I got it for a great deal when I had it put on a while ago.
