How do I fill in the gaps around this switch?

The switch and it's housing is just laying in there. It's a very tight fit. Do I need to glue it down or just fill it in>?

I think I need to leave the switch housing in there and use rage gold to fill the gap. Do I just dump a lot in there with the hardener and smooth out with a popsickle or something?

how do I do this?

personally, I would loose the housing, make a flass (fiberglass) disk that fits inside and mount the switch in it for a cleaner look.

maybe even a less bulky switch thats designed to flush mount.
