i was looking at that but i didnt know if that was garbage or not. i seen the smd one but i think $100 for a volt meter is overkill.

I have the xscorpion ones from sonic electronix, got them for $11.99 ea. they read .01 to .03 volts lower then 3 different multi meters I have, to me they seem fine, and inexspensive.

one thing I forgot is out of the 5 I ordered, 1 of them came with the clear plastic lens on top with a bubble where it was glued down, but talked to them and I sent it back to be replaced.

oh and one other thing is that the stinger has a remote turn on which actually makes it easier on install where mine does not so I am running them thru a switch. and I think that's it. as far as reliability I can't say just yet.

what i used. Has a remote turn on. I ran it a 12 volt switch between the remote as well so i can turn it on and off. LED lights can be pretty obnoxious at night

i turn down all my interior lights to barely visable at night.

i think that led would distract me quite a bit

yes, it will. Put it on a relay, and add in a switch, so you can turn it off when you really don't need it. Or mount it along with a flip down tinted cover ...

they are pretty bright. mines mounted on the center floor hump in a 2001 park ave

i always have a few hats in my car and at night i just put a hat in front of it. or else id look like a smurf at night to the passing cars.
