I think for his situation it will all be fine.

I plan on ordering a 12 in the next few weeks and running some tests with it. Maybe I can get someone to lend a SA12 for SPL tests against each other.

Sure, I hooked up three in a sealed enclosure about a week ago. I like them. I tried to embed the video, but I dont have the privlege yet. The Skar subs have really low extension for a 12, imo. I am happy with them. I have plans to purchase a 4th one and build an ~8ft3 ported box for a competition that is going to take place he next month.

I am looking forward to doing them ported, but first I must upgrade my charging system. I currently have two batteries and a 136 amp alt. I cant even come close to fully powering the ap3000 and two PA600's with this. I purchased a second alternator, but because I drive a Dodge Ram W/cummins, there is no kit for the second alt to be installed with, at least none that are not $500. I plan to fabricate my own bracket an purchase a longer serpentine belt to drive it. Slap a couple more batteries in and I should be okay.
