Anyone rock tube amps?

Wondering if anyone uses tube amps? How are they for car audio? I love them in home and guitar applications and am intrigued to see if they perform well for component amping.

How are the old Calcell tube amps?

Anything to watch out for when buying these old and used?

yea they are used in high end sq systems.....not too common due to size, cost, and maintenance but they do exists and are said to have a mellow smooth sound

I only used one for radio communications...that lil 25watt beast lit up my 18 foot antenna like a light bulb if you kept it keyed up for 10 minutes....

modulation was FAR superior to mosfet amps too

My ZED made planet audio tube amp looks to be a lot better built amp than the Calcell

I used to run an old school US amps that is a tube amp

ive also run a tru tech tube amp

Three reasons to not run a tube amp in your car

1. my car was too loud and they werent loud enough and i found myself listening to my system with the car off to get the best listening environment

2. Imaging is extremely difficult in a car

3. they draw alot of power and cost alot, for the price i can by a new set of components and an amp thatll push 120 watts to them
