A buddy of mine has one asking 1400$ I know they go for more and I'm sure I can probably Jew him down 100-200$ here's his upgrade list...

Fmf pipe

tusk nerf bars

uni air filter

dg front bumper

ac racing rear bumper

msr handle bars

It's in real good condition said he hasn't rode it too much he lives in town now the decals some of them are chipping away from being washed starts right up fast as fvck(thought I was gonna die) and I'm hoping to flop it for double-ish 2000-2500$ or make a trade for a golf cart/truck anyone think this is possible? I'll post pics when I get home.

What about trading it for a golf cart think its possible? Plus I live in a little hillbilly town there's bound to be someone! Or even keeping it that's a pretty fair price right? Even what he is asking before I Jew him down? I can at least play with it for a little bit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i guess if you get him down some more, id take it. i personally prefer bikes.

but i bet you could, its just whether or not you can find a hillbilly with a golf cart. ive actually been through indiana quite a bit. Gerry indiana is horrible.

Slow 4 stroke garbage. Years ago 4 strokes were reliable machines. Now theyre easier to blow up than 2 strokes. Mainly due to the manufacturers trying to pump up the power in them so much that theyll keep up with 2 strokes. If you want a good, reliable fourwheeler for basic riding, find you an old honda 4 stroke. Everything made up until the air cooled 400ex were ****** tanks. Most the new stuff is high maintainece junk. Im a 2 stroke man myself, but have respect for the older 4 strokes.

2 strokes ftw...no modern 2 stroke quads anymore though, if he's wanting a quad idk

The older honda's are great bikes/quads, really reliable

Doesn't matter how clean it is, it's still a 7 year old quad...I don't see you getting that much for it. Especially in this market right now

Yea 2 strokes ftw. I mostly ride a "blaster" With a built older air cooled yz250 motor, looks just like a blaster until we line up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif However I have an older honda 250sx frame im working on a big red 350 swap in. 4 strokes are so heavy and gaudy though, i **** near have to use my cherry picker to pull or reinstall one of the motors. Also used to have a little 50lb gokart frame with a crf450f motor on it years ago, it was nasty. Had a live axle with 18x10x10 lawnmower tires in the rear end and would spin em all the way till 4th gear, lol.

I once saw a video trying to teach people about the diff between 2 and 4 strokes, i guess the guy was a 2 stroke man, because when he talked about 4 strokes he said "This is a 4 stroke, it makes alot less power, and has alot of extra parts" LOL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

The industry is moving away from 2-strokes for a lot of reasons. One, they are usually a lot less comfortable to ride (like riding a weedeater on wheels). Two, environmental reasons (a lot of off-road parks in Cali only allow 2 strokes at certain times of the year, for example). The third reason is, with companies going to higher compression 4-strokes that were previously only found in high end dirt bikes, the power difference between 2-strokes and modern 4-strokes is not nearly what it use to be. I use to race my YFZ450 against against a lot of Banshee's and did quite well. Honda's 450r is a pretty strong 4-stroke as well.

I never liked 660 raptors. Too tall. Uncomfortable. Plus, they are slow compared to the 450's on the market today. And yes, the resale value on quads is quite low these days. I sold my YFZ for pennies on the dollar when I had to get rid of it. Do NOT buy a quad for an investment, unless you basically steal it, you will regret the decision.

I'd grab it. A buddy of mine just bought a 2001 for $1800, you could easily get $2000 for that if you live in a rural area with lots of ATVs (like me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)

i have a 08 LTR450 right now, and had a 03 raptor 660. Between the two, theres no doubt the ltr is a better machine in EVERY way possible. Like stated before, the dual carbs **** balls on the raptor. For 1k its a decent deal. Modern 450's are monsters...

x2. I have a yfz450 myself. We just got my girl a ltr450 and its a sweet bike. I hated riding the 660 that my buddy has.
