My brother has one. I put the K&N FIPK on his car. It was very simple and straight-forward. Probably about a 10 minute install.

Does your bro say he's noticed any performance increase at all, or not really?

your not gonna notice a difference in performance by adding a CAI to a p5, you may think you do because it is louder though

just take off the stock "silencer" and slap a k&n filter into the stock box for $30

if you are planning on adding headers, exhaust, pulleys, turbos and all that crap then do it cause after a while all the mods add up, but just an intake wont do anything

Virtually non-existant gains, perhaps a little noise. A couple hp maybe.

I had a 2002 P5 with cold air intake, full raven exhaust system and headers and different pulleys and other mild mods. Ended up dynoing at 180hp when was all said and done. Then took it too the track and ran mid 14's with it. Was very dissappointed! So decided to make an spl vechichle out of it, lol!

Was a nice car, I miss it a lot.

I just installed the end part of my CAI yesterday and there is a little diff in sound and performance in the higher rpms.
