Anyone on here have a system in an altima?

I have a 2010 altima and i want to know if anyone else has one.. If you do, what did you do to stop all the rattle from the trunk? I put deadener in and it sounds like complete **** in this car.. it takes so much to get loud.
u will never stop trunk rattle ....whats ur definition of takes so much to get loud? lol

I'm about to get 2007 altima and do a custom build where I take out the back part of the backseat and put 1 FI BL18 there obviously in a custom box. I'm gonna cover it in plexiglass to people can still sit back there. Good idea or no? Anyone know if I'll have any problems with that? And as a plus...hopefully no trunk rattle lol

There isnt that much that can rattle if its actually the trunk lid. You might consider putting something behind the license plate, if it doesn't have all 4 screws it can "flap" and add a lot of noise. Do you have a spoiler? You might consider some deadener. What are you running for subs?

I just started having the same problems recently i guess it loosened up. i used some rubber strips and stuffed them where the rear window and ceiling meet and it helped alot so tomorrow ima stick some in between the rear window and rear deck cause if you press down on the backlight when the bass is hitting some of the rattle goes away

take rear deck cover off, deaden rear deck and cover, reinstall....rattles gone

For trunk lid you can do low expanding foam if you're careful and deaden the trunk lid.

I run a single 18 in my 2000 altima and it's rattle free....

Its my like rear deck.. it rattles so hard that it makes the bass sound like ****
I have the same problem with my car. It's not an altima but still a sedan. I cut out my cars rear deck and replaced it with a 1/2" piece of MDF and it is cabled tied down. And it still rattles. Once summer comes I am going to try and figure out how to stop it.

Your best bet to stop your rattling. Is to add some mass to the deck. That way it can't vibrate.

audible rattles are hard things touching hard things.

simply put soft things between the hard things.

it's really that simple.

some examples of soft things are

* felt, fleece, or other fabrics

* weatherstripping foam (closed or open cell)

* rubber strips (neoprene)

laying deadener on a rear deck won't stop rattles. but gluing a sheet of felt between the various layers can. felt is cheaper as well.

the third brake light is a common rattle against the glass. weatherstripping foam does well here.

latches rattle. electrical tape around the latch loop will last for a few months. after it wears through, remove and replace.

latches include trunk, hood, and rear seat.

dome lights rattle - foam weatherstripping or felt helps here.

license plates rattle - closed cell foam weatherstripping is key here.

most cars have a pressure release valve with a flap located in the rear quarter panel. this will audibly flap with bass. you can remove it and seal it up with a piece of deadener or anything else rigid.

you can remove all of the interior trim pieces and simply line them with a thin felt. 3M Super 77 is a good spray adhesive. just make sure to clean them first for good adhesion. upon reassembly, you will have soft between hard all over. this is really just necessary at contact points.

you can see what i've done to cut down rattles in a car:
