I bought an '87 327es from a junk yard, an '85 318i from a friend for $100, and traded both for a mint '86 m3 which was modded slightly. He had a dyno sheet laminated and kept 1 copy in the glove box, and 1 copy in the tool box (under trunk). She was 221 at the wheels. I hear theyre like, 180 stock, or so.

It was NICE to drive. My 327, honestly, was a beast in the low end, but nothin like the m3.

(i was told by BMP Design you can put a 325i head on a 327e block, it will give it the low end grunt, with the top end fire. 327es = 4750 redline, 325is=7500 redline.....i dunno if this is true, but might be possible. both L6 engines)

yeah i had a dude on here build mine...i was talking to him then found out he lives like 2 minutes from me! lol. so it all worked out. how big do those boxes have to be for the XXX's? cuz mine is... 5. sumthing w/out displacement...w/ displacement its 4.3 but its huge!

I have the older XXX and gonna try it sealed this time. Already had it ported (3.75 cu.ft. GBv / 2.25 cu.ft NBv Slot Port @ 28Hz) and it hit hard & LOUD. I just don't have the space like in my Jeep and I'm not willing to give up my entire trunk so I'm gonna see how it performs sealed. I'm thinking 1.0 cu. ft.
