Anyone near Detroit solder???

Soldering = easy. Look for a google tutorial, get a cheap soldering iron and some thin soldering wire and have at it. Wire bits of scrap speaker wire together, do this until you're confident enough to tackle your speaker.

I've had to fix tinsel leads myself.

Soldering is like using a DMM...it's something you need to do if you're involved at all with electronics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Tinsel wires are easy, do what Raven said and practice on some scrap wire. A 35 watt pencil iron and rosin-core solder should do the job.

Now if it's surface mount components you're dealing with, I completely understand...but I doubt that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
