Im lookn to relocate out near Camp Bullis (right before Borene, TX) and the surrounding area. Id like to find out how it is out there in general, cost of living, house prices...shit like that.

San Anton your only choice? It's been a hot MoFo here for the last few weeks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

and I'm 5 hrs NORTH of S.A.

Well its a job promotion, and ive lived in College Station for 20 years before so im no stranger to fucked up texas heat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

probably an apartment or rental until I can find a house later on.... Im a Army Civilian so I would be transfering there.
North San Antonio is just a little cheaper than Austin. I live in a 1 bedroom 800 sqaure foot apartment in Northwest Austin (nicest part of town) and we pay $838. Houses right now are going to be the best option since San Antonio builders churned out houses like crazy and there were alot of foreclosures. If you are going to be near Camp Bullis, that's really a 30 minute or more drive from San Antonio. Housing is going to be cheaper in that area, but I don't think the foreclosure slam has hit that area as hugely as San Antonio. The area around Boerne is nice, country but nice.

awesome info! Yeah id be stationed at Camp Stanley which is next to Camp Bullis so id like to not have to drive 30 miles to get to work...so where I live would have to be in that area.

Nice, sounds like we will need to arrange a get-together when you get here and settled. You definitely are going to have sources for things you need when you get here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
