Anyone know these kinda people.

I'm no audiophile or install expert, but I picked up a few things just by doing the research, reading audio forums, reading reviews, etc., and I can tell you one thing I'll never let any shop do an install on my car, I'll probably let an experienced person build me a box, or do some fiberglass work for me, that's about it. I think I can manage alot of stuff on my own and get more enjoyment out of doing it myself. I don't buy equipment solely based on price or what my boy thinks about it
x2

easiest way to teach them is to build your own system, install it yourself and kick their *** in SPL and SQ
then start charging for advice and system help
nope. then tell them to fck themselves and go take their *** to BB or CC to have it "professionally" done.

you have to prove to these kind of people that you know what your talkin about. show them how your voltage stays higher with your Big 3, H/O alt, bigger wiring or whatever you have done to improve your stuff properly. I have done this many times, just doing a Big 3, adding a generic deep cycle battery and 2/0 wiring in a buddies car keeps his voltage a full 2 volts higher. Before we did that, he actually dropped to about 10.5 volts and his car shut off going down the road! he dam sure listened to me then.

same with the guy at radioshack today. asked for some wiring cost, just bored. we started talking and he asked what type of amp am I running I said a arc audio 1000.1. He said must be crap, never heard of it. I told him it is realy efficent and is a top of the line amp and he just siged and said " yehh... I just bought a kicker 2500 watt amp. cost me 1500 dollars." I just said cool then he started talking to my sister and pissed me off, so we left before we could get into the conv.

Ignorance is one thing, but if they're willing to learn that's another thing.

I've come across people like that before, and will continue to run into them for sure. In car audio it's almost impossible to never meet anyone who believes those things. Like previously stated, build your own system with lesser known, better, products, and kindly show it to the people who don't believe. Key word there is kindly. If you're an a$$ hole they'll be resentful towards you and anything you do.

what kinda numbers you put up with the set-up.. it looks sick
Currently absolutely nothing is in the car except for the driver's seat, haha..everythings getting deadened, 5 gallons of sludge behind be-pillar with atleast one layer of mat-deadener ontop of it...then 2 layers of mat on everything upfront...

Im really anxious to get it metered...still a few more things to do before I put everything back in..

But should get nasty-loud..my enclosure is going to have an interchangeable face on the back side of the enclosure with anchors and mounting points so I can make any size+tuning+shape of port I want and test everything out to see the loudest...then I can through a nice low-tuned one in for daily driving...we'll see, i'll start a thread once everything's back in and plenty of vids

Yeah me and my dad are wiring the amps right now...its pretty shitty since he broke my knuko. wire. I might just rewire it myself later. But atlest I'll have the good stuff for my sub, not really worried about my speakers.
