Anyone know Texas law?

it is all dependent on your age and specifics of the case. until he replies with his age we can only speculate. since it was an accident, did he evade arrest? did he cause over $5k in damage? did he cause serious bodily harm to other party? there are a lot of factors to look at in these cases.

in texas, just denying a breathalizer, blood sample, or field sobriety test results in an automatic TDL suspension. in which case he has 15 days to appeal it and has to submit $250 to do so. then your lawyer or yourself appeal it in county court. you can reinstate your DL, but you have to carry SR-22 insurance for 180 days or until you get a hearing. depending on your municipality it can be a long *** wait.

so, until dipshit answers...we will wait.

im 20. I did not evade. the police released me to my family after i was released from the hospital. no bodily harm to me or anyone else, just property damage. i was not given anything by any officer, but they did give me a blood test at the hospital, which to my knowledge they can get a warrant or whatever to get that information from the hospital. my license has not been suspended yet, not is there a warrant for my arrest. as far as i know nothing has been done with it yet, but all the paperwork is ready for when it happens..I have a lawyer but he said theres nothing to be done until I am charged..which he said theyd show up at my door, arrest me and take me to jail at that time.

its kinda strange..I have one of the best lawyers in austin..yet he tells me nothing.
thats the way lawyers work. if they dont tell you anything, its positive. people think the justice system works fast or something. especially with the current hiring freeze nationwide most counties are facing a long road of backed up dockets. who is your lawyer and why are you asking us for info if you have one? looks like he told you what i told you.

I am telling you, James Balagia is a bad *** attorney. I know of a few civilians, "celebs" and "politicians" who have used him and in some cases they were guilty as sin, but he got them off on lesser charges and stricken from their record. pricey, but awesome guy.

I lived in Tejas for quite awhile. Make the cops mad and they beat the crap out of you. Make em real mad and you will disappear. That was in south east Texas where they made that movie about the guys who drug the black guy behind the truck.

You might get off because they make up the rules as they go.
