okay well, I was recently involved in an accident..drunk, in which I was released to my family from the hospital instead of going to jail for DWI. I was told I would be charged after about 10 days and arrested later on. It has been sever weeks since the incident and I am wondering if there is a time limit the officer(s) have to charge and arrest me? I didnt even know they could release me to my family and not have me arrested after leaving the hospital.

(and before it is mentioned, yes i already know i am a dumbass and yada yada)
