Anyone know RC cars well??

dont go wrong, the 4 tech is an awesome car. i have one my self, it only roles if u dont know what ur doin, but if u take ur time to get the hang of it u will be fine. and whats funner than goin like 40-60mph in a car about the size of a shoe box.

naw man. get a rustler. i have a rustler with more money in it than most people have put in their car audio systems. i can get it up to 61 mph with a 22 tooth CB and a 69 tooth SG. also, duratrax=unduratrash. their parts are so cheap. the only thing i have from duratrash is the shocks on my rustler. this is the only quality part they make. they won an award actually from RCCA. so, go with the rustler. ill tell you now, you need reflexes. it is quick and light, and with 1/2 throttle, you'll wheelie it. i have a rustler, tmaxx, elec 4tec, hpi rs4 and an hpi savage ss. out of all of them, the rustler is the fastest, the savage is the most handling, the 4tec is the easiest to drive, the rs4 is the easist to drift and the tmaxx is folded up like an accordion cause my dad ran it into the side of a church. no joke. so i would check out the rustler. traxxas also came out with a new truck called the revo. it looks REALLY nice. my dad is actually thinkin of gettin one. check that mother out also!

ive been into rccars for the past 6 years from what ive learned..nitro is alot harder to maintain for a beginnner i would say go electric towerhobbies.com has great prices it all depends on how much you want to spend your could get an traxxas e-maxx witch is 4wheel drive with 2 motors batterys and a 2 speed ****** it goes about 30mph stock everything comes with it except batterys and chargers or another great car is a rc10 t4 witch is made by team associated it is a fast truck it comes in ready to run form..except battery and charger ive seen them go 50mph but that was with a brushless motor i could go on forever so im gunna stop lol anyways your might wanna look into traxxas, team associated, hpi, team losi, those are all great companys i dont really like duratrax but you could look into them too

NIIIICEly put. yeah man, but i think that the emaxx is just a tmaxx but electric. its still really complicated. but if u put 2 brushless purple can motors on it, you can prob get it into the low 40 range. those motors push. dammit i can't remember what theyre called. theyre purple and are said to be the most powerful motor you can get for an emaxx. but yeah dude. look into the emaxx, the elec 4tec, the elec rs4 or maybe like an AE rc10 elec. those are all nice cars. the B4 stealth is one badass car, but u have to build it. its made by AE also (team associated).

Hobby shop. It's similar to the fuel used for RC planes but the nitro content is generally higher and the oil content lower. Make sure to get car specific fuel or you will probably be very unhappy with the performance of the car. I like Sidewinder myself.
dude, what the fck is car specific fuel. theres no such thing. do you mean you need to stick with one brand? cause thats true, but theres no car specific fuel. i used to run this pink crap that i cant recall, then blue thunder, then odonnell, then top fuel then trinity platinum. after that, the motor just got coocked. you can't change fuel types unless you NEED to, like the store stops carrying it. so try out some 20% trinity monster horsepower (the purple, not the gold. the gold is racing fuel, which is only good on racing and or turbo engines) assuming you get a nitro.

Manufacturers make both car/boat fuel and then airplane fuel

You dont want to use the RC airplane fuel in a nitro car/truck

All this talk about RC cars has cuased me to pull out my HPI rs4 Nitro MT from the attick. It hasnt been used for 3 years and is in excellant shape except for the motor. So I just ordered me a HPI Nitro Star 18ss motor with 1.5 hp to replace my Nitro Star 15fe with .6 Hp that came standard with the truck. This thing is going to kick some major *** now.

I wouldn't run over 20% as using more than this can cause pre-mature wear on the engine. If you get a nitro vehicle make sure you break it in correctly. Run it nice and rich to ensure safe break in.
