Squires are decent for the price. The USA guitars are actually extremly close to the fenders in quality. The korea and mexico versions are OK but not the best.

yeah 100 seems a little steep for a squier bullet. theyre cheaply made but are decent guitars. i probable wouldnt pay over 50 for one though.

Squire bullets are usually around that price new, so if it looks new enough help your friend out and go for it. I've been playing guitar for about 5 years and I've had them all, gibsons, fenders, squires, ibanez, etc. My favorate is my ibanez I have now. Anyways, play it and see if you like it. My friend has the same guitar, but the neck feels too flat for me. If you like it, and it looks new enough, go for it.

thing is, i dont know how to play, hence the reason for getting the guitar...so i can learn. id prolly just try and learn tabs to start out with and then maybe learn to read music later on, idk. anyone else got any input?

its a decent guitar if your just starting out to learn. i myself started out with a squier strat and it kept me happy for a year or so before i got really serious into guitars. so i would go for it i guess if its in good shape.

Even if it was made in the USA I wouldnt buy it for $100 I can get em new for that at a music shop locally. used USA I would pay $70 Mexico maybe $50
