I'm thinking about running a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in the car, but I still want to use my 160gb ipod. I wanted to know if there was anyway to control the ipod from the Tablet without touching the ipod? The main reason I'm asking is because I need gapless playback. Some of my music will sound bad with silence between the tracks. I haven't figured out a way to get gapless playback out of Andriod yet. Even if I did, how would I store 140gb worth of music? If I get a external usb drive, I can almost guarantee there will be silence between the tracks. I did just read something about Android 4.1 having gapless playback? It seems like it would be a big headache even if Android gapless playback works. I'd have to upgrade the tablet and transfer 140gb of music to some other device? Then I'd have to figure out how to charge the ipod or hard drive. Any suggestions on how to do it?
