Anyone know how to get out of a speeding ticket?

84 in a 55 because it was a country road, I was passing 1 car, trying to get back in my lane so everyone had ample space, and he was several cars back... no clue how he got me at 84... cuz I didn't break 75

have to know or know of someone that knows someone in the same branch

or go to court and fight it becuase most officers dont show up in court unless they are paid for their time.

Take it to court, say you dont think you were speeding.. see what they offer you.. it usaly only gets better. Just dont be a *** in court...

where i live, you can almost always get out of the points, just say you can afford the ticket but you can't afford the points. Laws are really only there for monitary purposes anyway.

or if you KNOW you didn't break 75, ask when the last time the speed gun was calibrated, if it was too long ago, your ticket gets dismissed.

also, you can put it under 'advisement', and they'll give you like a 2 month period, where if you don't have any driving infractions, they'll take it off, but if you get another ticket, you have to pay both of them. but before you go into court and ask "can i put it under advisement" you might want to research it to see if you can even do that in your area, and if so what are the stipulations.

yeah.. the cop told me about court supervision.

but abotu going 75.. either way, it's still speeding.. because it was in a 55.

I wouldn't mind paying the money.. I just hate having tickets on my record...

I have had too many speeding tickets in my driving history to remember them all (drove pretty insanely as a teenager) but I never bothered to try and fight one until about 3 years ago.

I was in a Chevy 3500 that had a refrigerated box on the back of it. Said raggedy Checy wouldn't run over 75mph if your life depended on it due to having some fairly serious mechanical issues.

I got pulled over by a deputy sheriff in the parish I was traversing at the time and cited for 81 in a 70 (Interstate 49 southbound)

I told the boss about it when I got back and he laughed as hard as I did when I was ticketed and only said "Some hick cop told you he clocked you at 81mph in that heap????"

When I went to court to fight it I took along with me a notarized letter to confirm what I told the judge which was that I had authorization from the owner of the vehicle in question that if they were able to make it go 80mph+ under its own power without doing any work to it that not only would he (my boss) pay twice what the ticket actually cost but also they could have the POS truck.

The judge still didn't quite believe it and when he, the bailiff, and the deputy that wrote the ticket to begin with went outside with me and they heard how raggedy that POS sounded after I started it up the ticket was immediately dismissed with a formal reprimand to the deputy for writing obviously invalid traffic citations.

see... the thing is, I saw him, looked at my speedomoter and was going 70, then he startet to swerve to the side.. probably to clock me.. so I know there's no way in hell he could have clocked me at freakin 84

How did he cite that he clocked you?

Visual? Lidar? Radar?

I wouldn't push too hard unless you know for sure you were going less, i don't know about where you live, but in ohio, even 20 can be wreckless opp. at the cop/court's disgression.
