where i live, you can almost always get out of the points, just say you can afford the ticket but you can't afford the points. Laws are really only there for monitary purposes anyway.
or if you KNOW you didn't break 75, ask when the last time the speed gun was calibrated, if it was too long ago, your ticket gets dismissed.
also, you can put it under 'advisement', and they'll give you like a 2 month period, where if you don't have any driving infractions, they'll take it off, but if you get another ticket, you have to pay both of them. but before you go into court and ask "can i put it under advisement" you might want to research it to see if you can even do that in your area, and if so what are the stipulations.
