Found a really good deal on a set of brand new 185/60/15s. I have a s10,stock rims. Stock tire size is 205/70/15. They are a 7" wide rim I believe. Can I get away with running 185/60's on the stock 7" rims?

185's are less wide than 205's. Those tires are are smaller than the one's you have.

Yes I know that much. I'm more interested in if its SAFE to run on a 7" rim. Looking around the net some 185/60's claim to be good for up to a 7" rim. I just dont want them being stretched on and looking goofy as hell.

This, just search craigslist for some normal sized tires. I got my 305/35/R22's for $500 for the set.

I can get these for ~$200 and pay whatever I want when ever I want til they are paid for. thats why I was leaning towards these.. Need tires badly before winter and funds are low

Hell, look for good deals in the paper. PepBoys had some deal a few months ago where a certain brand was like $40 for any 14" tire, $50 for any 15", and so on...

Point is, it will be a month or more before I could save enough for a set of tires.Winter will be set in.. why dont you call a tire shop and ask them. They are going to have to put the tires on for you anyway
