I go to a lot of hockey every year, I go to Michigan Tech and go to all the home hockey games every season. We are in the WCHA so we play all the best teams in the country too, but we **** ***. Anyway, Michigan should really be "The State of Hockey" as it has more teams and more players than any other state in the country including more D1 hockey teams than any other state.

you are out of your crackhead mind.. Besides the red wings you have nothing... HS wise DET catholic memorial got stomped by a MN team not even rated in the top 10.. Minnesota HS hockey walks on Mich hockey, MN colleges walk on Mich, And the D! prospects you do have are from out of state. Look at the pros in the NHL now from the past 10 years that graduated from MN High schools

That's not even a real ranking, the official polls have 3 MN teams and 1 MI team, but that's just this year. How about we go by national championships, MI teams have 19, MN teams have 5. Well then, what do you have to say to that?

A lot of them do actually, a lot more than come from MN. There are a ton of hockey players in the NHL from MI.

you live in the past .. Your missing the point.. Top players come from the east coast , canada and minnesota.... Mn has the top HS team in the country , well 16 of the top 20 actually , and has more nhl recruits that anyone else in the states.. Michigan is not the state of hockey cuz every team thats good is out of detroit..... HS, college and pro, thats why they call it "hockeyTOWN" MN hockey is a tradition, and brings in 120,000+ over 4 days to the state tourny, with on avg 20 nhl scouts.. michigan .. lol not so much.. Do your research before you rant on your invalid useless opinion

I read college hockey forums a lot. And the best teams aren'talways from Detroit. The UP is huge into hockey, a lot of championship teams in MI come from the UP. And I guess Drew Miller, Justin Abdelkader etc are shitty players who were never NHL prospects right? Very small example there.

The majority of MSU and U of M players are from MI, they have had some pretty good teams recently, not in the past. State won the championship in 2007, again with a majority of players from MI.

No shit Tech sucks, I know that. Sadly MN barely beat us in the 2 games we've played so far, so that doesn't say too much about their team either.

Oh, MN getting beat in the first round of the NCAA hockey tournament by Holy Cross was golden too, lol.

Then, add to that the fact that St. Cloud has never won an NCAA tournament game, that Bemidji is in CHA and that UMD has not done too hot, yea, really great hockey there, lol.
