Is 7 feet the regulation size of a pool table?
depends on a couple different factors. people use the term "regulation" as if there's only one playable size in pro pool, but there are quite a few different sizes, depending on the size of the pool hall, and the game you're playing.

tournaments generally use 9 foot tables.

If your room is 13' and you buy a 7' table you have 3' on each end to shoot. If you buy a 6' table you have 3 1/2' on each end to shoot. IMO I'd go with the 6' table, so you have more room on the ends. It might not seem like much, but it can make a big difference. There's nothen more frustrating then trying to shoot pool in a little room. You always end up hitten the stick on the wall, or have to hold it way up in the air, so you don't hit the wall when the balls are even remotely close to the edge. I'd rather shoot on a table that's a little smaller and more comfortable then a big table that's a pain in the *** to shoot on at all.
