im 20 years old and am looking at getting my own insurance policy.

i was paying 110$ a month for full coverage on my 05 grand prix but was on my fathers policy.

problem is i sold my car to buy something new, and i went to get a quote for my own policy on a 2001 sierra and the insurance guy quoted me 1700$ every 6 months for full coverage.

he said i still have 4 points on my license, but if i have any points at all there should only be 2 on there because the other 2 points were from over 2 years ago and in michigan i believe points come off after 2 years.

but i need full coverage for the vehicle im buying as it will be financed, but my question is has anybody started an auto insurance policy with points on there license and got a decent rate?

if so, who did you go through? and do you have any tips for me.

takes 3 years for the points to drop and if your not married you will get rapped for insurance stay on parents as long as you can..
This.

Until a male turns I think 24 or 26, his insurance is expensivvve.

I don't have full coverage, I only have PIP (I think that's what it is.) and I spend like $60 bucks a month on my Mom's insurance. I'm 19 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

LA Insurance... i know there here by me... they dont look at your record and are reasonable. I know a few people who have gotten DUI's etc.. and they use them...

hey bud check out AAA insurance.

I got full coverage for my 2003 Trailblazer and am paying $606 for 6 months. I have not had a ticket for over 3 years but yeah. I talked to another insurance guy and he said if I can get it that cheap than go for it, because it was a **** good deal with them
