anyone have expierience with roxio?

So I used dvd shrink and a decrypter to try and burn dvds and when I go to roxio to burn it on a dvd...

it burns but the file is unplayable ... from what i can see the only plausible way to burn a dvd on roxio is as a data file ... so i go through that whole process and it sounds like its burning but the files dont work

if anyone has expierience or a different way to burn them through roxio id greatly apprieciate it
