Hard to tell without an exam and and audiogram...deginerative hearing loss???or is that when you get older
Are you trying to knock him out? Meclizine causes drowsiness...Have you tried "Meclizine"?
Ever hear of Meniere's Disease? Google it. it sometimes causes your ear to ring constantly. Creates a sence of vertigo when its really bad.
You most likely don't have this but the reason I brought it up is because of the clogged ear, ringing, slight loss of hearing thing in one ear. MECLIZINE helps this big time. Doesn't hurt to try. if you get the tablets that are only 12.5mg then take four pills at a time. They sell 50mg pills as well and in that case take two.
Talk to your doctor first and see what he thinks.
I speak from experience.
Probably caused by spending too much time in that box in your avatar... LOL!!!yea i've had this since i was little, maybe from my cd player or something, but myears ring whenevre its quiet or i think about it (bathroom, bed) but i noticed its worse now and i do have slight hearing loss and sometimes my ears hurt..... hmmmmmmm
Next time that happens, just put on a little background noise (music, waves, etc.)I listened to my system up pretty loud for a while one night, my ears rang the whole night while I was trying to go to sleep. It was horrible.

The reason it's used for Meniere's is because it with Meniere's causes vertigo(dizziness). Meclizine's only indications are vertigo and motion sickness. It has no effect on clogged ears...
I never said that Menier's was caused by dizziness... As far as that goes... This was copied off of E-medicine http://www.emedicine.com/you my friend do not know what you are talking about. I said I speak from experience. Knock him out?? you must be kidding. that stuff doesn't knock a fly out. Do you know what causes Meniere's? it's NOT dizziness. dizziness is a side effect. Go read up on it and then come back and argue with someone that has it. ME.
