Anyone have constant ringing in their ears?

Have you tried "Meclizine"?

Ever hear of Meniere's Disease? Google it. it sometimes causes your ear to ring constantly. Creates a sence of vertigo when its really bad.

You most likely don't have this but the reason I brought it up is because of the clogged ear, ringing, slight loss of hearing thing in one ear. MECLIZINE helps this big time. Doesn't hurt to try. if you get the tablets that are only 12.5mg then take four pills at a time. They sell 50mg pills as well and in that case take two.

Talk to your doctor first and see what he thinks.

I speak from experience.

Are you trying to knock him out? Meclizine causes drowsiness...

The reason it's used for Meniere's is because it with Meniere's causes vertigo(dizziness). Meclizine's only indications are vertigo and motion sickness. It has no effect on clogged ears...

yea i've had this since i was little, maybe from my cd player or something, but myears ring whenevre its quiet or i think about it (bathroom, bed) but i noticed its worse now and i do have slight hearing loss and sometimes my ears hurt..... hmmmmmmm

Probably caused by spending too much time in that box in your avatar... LOL!!!

I listened to my system up pretty loud for a while one night, my ears rang the whole night while I was trying to go to sleep. It was horrible.
Next time that happens, just put on a little background noise (music, waves, etc.)

The more quiet the environment is, the louder your ears seem to ring.

you my friend do not know what you are talking about. I said I speak from experience. Knock him out?? you must be kidding. that stuff doesn't knock a fly out. Do you know what causes Meniere's? it's NOT dizziness. dizziness is a side effect. Go read up on it and then come back and argue with someone that has it. ME.

I never said that Menier's was caused by dizziness... As far as that goes... This was copied off of E-medicine http://www.emedicine.com/

"The exact cause of Ménière syndrome is unknown. The current theory is that it is the response of the inner ear to injury."

And meclizine does cause drowsiness... http://www.medicinenet.com/meclizine/article.htm

And I've given it to countless Marines, so I do have expirence with it. "Knock him out" may have been a little harsh, but it probably will make him a little tired. If you have been taking it most/all of your life, your probably used to it. One of my instructors from school had it and he too popped meclizine like it was going out of style...

My ears were not ringing when you asked that question right after I posted. But I JUST got back from the Cold Play concert ten minutes ago and yeah, they are ringing a little bit. Time for some Meclazine!...kidding. I was just prescribed that a week ago, have not filled the prescription yet. That'll happen this week since I just ran out of Claritin D. Might as well give it a try. A bad dish of Vertigo sucks so bad I can't even wish it on my worst enemy. Come to think of it, I don't think I hate anyone........yet.

Heres a suggestion

Why not go for a setup that accurately produces bass in accordance to the way it would sound in its original recording.

2 8's would do....

I know folks like to go the spl route but to be honest, how many people still have a dual 12'/15/18" setup at 500+ watts five years after they get in the car audio scene?

Is 5 years or less of loud bass worth a liftime of hearing?

Well your system can cause permanent hearing loss... it's a little off topic to your ringing but here is what happens:

The Bass in your system stretches some membrane in your inner ear. With REALLY loud bass the stretch becomes permanent and your ear becomes less sensitive.

The Highs rip tiny hairs off in your inner ear that pick up high freqs. This is also permanent.

This info comes from my uncle who got his degree in Audiology. He went into social work after school but it's good info... be careful with your ear... it sucks being 24 and hard of hearing...

i used to have a ringing in my ear..............it was a ear infection i had 2 take antibiotics to get rid of it

i dont think its from ur system cuz when i play mine 2 loud and long my ear kinda pump a little (a little hard to explain)
