Anyone have Cd's that they hate to listen to because they are produced terribly?

I don't play like half of my CD collection because they sound like shit on my system. Some are either lacking mid range, or have too many highs/not enough lows. Pisses me off because i don't want to change the settings just for a few Cd's. Some just don't sound good loud, feels bad brah.

Anyone else have this problem?

Most of the music I like sounds terrible.

It's tough to make the Misfits, Exploited, Black Flag and Mayhem sound "good".

Not so much what you describe, but I have a hard time with compression - the victims of the Loudness Wars. No dynamic range anymore.

What's really insidious are the remasters of good-sounding albums, that get the treatment and sound like shit.
