i bought the deal to hook it up to my comp to put music on it, but it didnt work, im using vista, but after looking at it, i think i have to purchase the song to put it on there as well? or can i just send it in from iTunes or another program?

I have the EnV. Just get a microSD card, put it in the phone for it to create a folder database, then put it in your computer, add your MP3 files to the "My music" folder or whatever it's called in the phone, and just pop the microSD card in your phone again and go to "MY Music" in your phone and then hit "Sync". It'll update the music into your phone's playlist/memory.
