Friend wants to build a system so I'm putting together some equipment for him. He said he wants some nice sound without breaking the bank so I figured I'd get him a pair of these:
Dayton Audio DS175-8 6-1/2" Designer Series Woofer 295-428
Unfortunately I don't know how much mounting depth these cars have, and I would have to have him buy all this stuff and then it doesn't fit properly.
Crutchfield recommends some polks with a 2" mounting depth. The daytons have a mounting depth of 3 1/8". If I make a 3/4" spacer using some plywood that means the depth is 2 3/8". Is this too much? I can't find any specs online for this.
