I'll use a hammer on the concrete floor most of the time.....sometimes a vise....

yea them hammer crimpers are the shit.. go to napa and get one for like 30bux.

i wouldnt hit directly on the concrete cuz i hit so hard it mght break the slab. i use a board and set the crimper on it and then hit.

Except I don't use an anvil. I use the sidewalk. Normally the sidewalk chips. But, I use the same part of the sidewalk each time, so it's just an average chip...

Hammer + Side Walk + Flats head = WIN.

I used to do that but i was looking for something that has sort of a vise on it as well so it can hold the wire while i solder the shit out of it.

Get that *Hammer Crimp* on E/Bay.I bought it,and it makes your connection and Life,easier...Than as you said,solder it all up,and get some *Dual Wall Adhesive*,not regular shrink tubing,to seal the Connection.
