anyone have a car and use it to tow?

my only concern would be the traction while getting the ski/trailer out of the water while on the ramp. Maybe the ramps here are just dirty/steep/poorly designed, but our suburbans both struggled (traction wise) on a steep wet ramp.

yeahi figured most cars could pull the weight. i guess my main concern would be the boat ramp to dump the ski in the water. how big of a jackass would i be if my car went in the water too. car im relaly considering right now is a honda prelude, but that is a 4 banger. but it has the power of a lot of the v6 cars
Should be fine with that. My buddy had an 01 cavalier LS and pulled his 2 jet ski's and trailer fine. Was stick, so that helped, but was the less powerful 4 cylinder eng. So I am sure you will be fine with that car. I envy you, I wish I had a jet ski!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif

get a truck and just throw the jetski in the bed when you wanna take it somewhere then you dont have to bring a trailer anywhere
Did you happen to read the OP's original statement?

He has a Tahoe right now, so why in the world would he want to get a truck being he is probably trying to save gas or something along those lines?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

he could be like me and get a ranger or other smaller truck

3.0L v6 and 17 highway

im probably goin to do a hitch and a set up for the bed

cause my freind has 3 older jetskis and 2 trailers so one in the bed and two on a trailer

considering i get 16 hwy why would i get into something smaller and just as inefficient on fuel??

bigbangtheory...ive wanted one for so long. i got this one for free since it was abandoned. all i had to do was pay for the registration fee. only thing is i don have it running yet as i have had literally zero time between working 14 hr days and taking an online class.

yeah thats more of what my concern is. i know cars can tow, its the tration part on the ramp that im concerned with. again all depends on what ramp used i guess. plus i still know plenty of people who have trucks. i guess i could tow and meet up with them and have them dump it in the water for me.
