Anyone has or heard Alpine Type-S subs?

I use to have 2 12" Type-S Subs, 2001 model. And a Alpine 600watt (and a sealed box)... Someone jacked it. It was okay, i guess. Any good stories about these subs or bad things about it????

Also my insurance cover it, i just got 2 12" Alpine Type-S Subs, 2002 Model. Didn't get my Amp yet, took over 6 months to get these, take a long time for the insurance. Also i was thinking pushing with a punch 500a and in a sealed box. Do you think that would be good? Also i'm avoiding going over the peak wattages for these subs, my friend blew a Type-S sub with a punch360. Do you think i would blow it? Is it okay to go over the limit that the speakers can handle? any suggestions..........

In a single sentence: R's are better!

Other than that, the system sounds like it'll be pretty good.

I love both the type r's and type s's, they are both very clean sounding....it's pretty hard to blow them unless you are playing gain master...I had 2 of them and a 400 watt mtx amp for each one and man did they pound for tens, now i have a 15inch type r....very very loud, but clean as well....
