recently got one of these to power a pair of 6x9s in my kia sorento.

I will probably want more bump later so im thinking an 8 or 10 inch sub or another pair of 6x9s.

Good buy?

also:

can you run different loads per channel? I've never had an amp before.

if this one runs 4 channels, can i run 2 in 4ohm, and one in 2 ohm?

can i hook 2 channels to one speaker???(for lolz? i dont know)

does using only 2 of the 4 channels improve power output on the used channels??

1. horrible buy

2. yes you can run diffrent ohm loads on amps as longas they are within the amps capabilities.

3. 2 channels to 1 speaker is called bridged and if done with the the appropriate speaker yes it will be more power.

4. no the channels will do the power no matter how many are actually being used.

5 that amp does like 10wx4 probably. your headunit is more powerful

Yeah, I got some boss 6.5s for the rear doors. Really lack luster speakers and they're all over rated in specs. I've seen so many good reviews for this amp, I'm just gonna check it out with a volt meter. The 6x9s only need 75w rms, so I was looking for something easy on the wallet, but with enough kick. Thanks for the insight guys!

Rules for car audio

#1 you get what you pay for

#2 amazon reviews are from noobs or 16-18 year olds that are tone deaf or have never heard a real system before, chances are their stock speaker setup sounded better and they dont even know the difference.

# avoid all brands like boss, pyle, pyramid, power acoustik, lanzar(cheap side), autotek, west coast customs, performance technique, etc... They either die out on the first day, give below garbage performance or die out within a week to two months.

#4 Better to save and buy something decent before you realize that you've wasted soo much money on cheap stuff that you could have afforded yourself a really nice system with the money you basically spend on doorstops.

Most of us here went the cheap route and learned from it. Whether or not you take that to heart depends on you.

very well said...

Well said indeed. I know more expensive rigs will do better and there's lots of even worse products out there for cheap. However, I can neither afford such rigs, and saving for them would be just as difficult. I don't yet feel thousand dollar systems are a good investment of my money.

As typical as it may be, I'm an early 20 yo delivery driver building my first system, trying to be as economical as possible. And if I do say so my self, I know my system isn't amazing, but I think it sounds great and the imperfections of it serve to teach me how and why it could be better.

We arent talking about thousand dollar systems, there are good budget performers and garbage tier equipment you have to avoid at all cost. The good budget performers are usually 10-40 dollars more than the garbage tier and they are definitely worth it.
