Anyone got an Eclipse CD3100?

Sup folks, Ive got an 89 Tbird SC and looking to dump the POS sony head unit in it now and there isnt a whole lot that fits this car for some reason. But anyway, im looking at an Eclipse CD3100...found them retail for 250-300 but on ebay new in box for 200. I was wondering if anyone has one and can give me thier thoughts on it. Thanks,

Why not get the Eclipse CD5000 for $250 dollars shipped from Sounddomain, they are an authorized dealer as well.

Yeah i saw that..but like i said its 200 bucks on ebay. But before i buy it from anywhere i just wanna hear from someone who has one ya know.

Cool....just trying to point out a great deal to you. For $50 more bucks (maybe less if you have to pay shipping on top of the $200) you are getting a HU with alot more processing power, a better DAC, and factory warranty.

just get the CD5000. i have the CD4000 which is similar to the cd3100 but an old model and i regret it. i should've done more research and gotten the cd5000. oh wells

Yeah i think so too....im gonna hit a couple places today to find out. I know circuit city sells eclipse so im gonna go jack them for information lol

Good luck with that....... it may be different where you are at, but of the three CC's I've been to here in town, non have had any people in the car audio department that I would consider knowledgeable or helpful at all (at least not the multiple times I've been there).

Take a look over at Crutchfield, they have all the specs and measurements for these units. They will also tell you whether or not it will fit in your car.

Welli figure they can just look in the computer and tell me if it fits. Im not giving them too much credit....ive seen them screw up a bunch of stuff...although one near me has a guy i KNOW is a master certified installer. well last time i was there he still worked there
