well, I bought my dad a tatung tablet. it has a pci slot or whatever and it came with a lan adapter card, but I already have a wireless network adapter card. The only problem is I can't get it to work because I can't find the drivers for it to work on windows ce.

The card is a WPC54G and the tatung tablet says viva on the desktop if that help anyone?

mine never had the xp desktop. It has "viva" on it for some reason. I've gotten the lan card to work fine, but I want my dad to be able to use this sitting anywhere.

from research, it appears that I either have to right my own program or get a different card. Am I correct? Anyone?

so I'm guessing no one know?! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif bummer
Is this seriously where your search ends?

Do you know what Google is and how to use it?

Windows CE is not compatible with much... See if you can install a diff OS on it..

I've been googling for hours. I've found I can put linux on it, but I'm not familiar with it and neither is my father. I put it on my ps3, but now I never use it.

would that be the best bet though? linux?

Do you have wlan settings under control panel or something? or wlan under programs?
Can you click a wireless icon at the top of your windows ce screen?
I've searched throughout all of the control panel...see a wireless icon at the top of the plastic part of the monitor, but I see no way to activate it...

You can't tap on it?

Everything says you have should have wireless built in.

No matter what you are going to need a wlan settings in either control panel or programs..

Even if you use a card you will need something to allow you to turn wireless on or off or change networks or enter a password, etc..

no, I can't tap on it...It's just a symbol with a led light ( that wold indicate if it was on or not)...

I see no where for wifi...I see regular LAN but thats it
