Anyone good with computers???

I just got my Linksys router installed and everything is working fine on the internet and everything......But Im having trouble connecting my second computer I have a Netgear Adapter for the second computer and it found the connection from my Linksys connection but it wont let me connect to it.....it says something like secure connection or something.....Ahhh somebody help me please!!!

Lemme guess...wireless net? Must mean your router has a password and the computer doesnt have access to it. Go in the manual and read around. It'll tell you how to let other computers access it. Possible with wired routers too I guess since mine has the option to password protect.

maybe you have your firewall on in your router, I had that problem, except I was trying to connect to P2P and stuff. You can login into your router and turn it off, as long as you have a strong firewall installed on your comp you should be good.

do you have any filters on, mac address, or ip filters? i recently set up my router for having an wep encryption and only allowing the computers that i have the mac address entered in for access to my network.
