Anyone from Minnesota/the Dakota's ?

scsu is party central tho.. if thats what your looking for... main u has more parties because its like 10 times the size , but st cloud is drunk town.. and fuk ndsu

Yea, if you're into loose Husky women [literally sometimes] then SCSU is what you want. Know lots of people who actually made it out of there and are productive in life, though. Teacher college, really.

I graduated from the U and still live in the cities. What do you want in a school? You'll get more variety in student life and learning possibilities at a large, land-grant university then one in a ho-dunk town, that's for sure. But, do you want that? The U campus is not exactly downtown Mpls, it has it's own culture/life/feel. A lot of students commute, IIRC...which bumps it up to like 30-40k.

It's a big school with lots and lots of stuff. Take off walking through the middle of campus from the edge West bank all the way to the East where they just built the new football stadium and youd've walked for a half hour. Do the same in North Dakota in you'd be lost in a wheat field in 10 min.

I'm thinking of attending University of North Dakota or University of Minnesota ... I've never been north of Virginia and I'd be able to transfer into UMN and possibly UND as a junior and get instate tuition. Anyone from the local area or attended these schools?

Come to UND. Why? 'Cause I'm here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm originally from Northern Virginia.

I went to NDSU, pretty solid program, town is ok, not a huge fan, If you have the money U of M is where its at, good luck with paying back student loans.
i suppose, U of M is where I was telling him to look... I couldnt afford it without huge loans, so i went to UMD

Are you planning on going to Crookston?
Yes that was my intention.

Thats not what I'm looking for.

I can goto any public school with a full ride considering they gave instate tuition benefits to veterans. The other deciding factor is if they will allow me to transfer in as a junior. Which is why I was looking at UND and UMN Crookston in the first place. I know for a fact I can enroll into UMN with a full ride + housing allowance as a junior and take no longer than 2 academic years to graduate. While the other schools being mentioned might be better for night-life and in bigger cities they do not offer the same benefits.

Then I'd say its pretty much a no-brainer. If it were me I'd probably go with UMN.

go to st cloud state. so much fun up there. all my freinds went up there and i regret not going. i went to some no name technical college, but i got my degree in 16 months. and im making more money they they will. lol
anyways st cloud state you just walk around from house party to house party and drink free all night. its like a dream, but its not....

the morning is a nightmare tho.....
x2 i live right by st.cloud state. the school ranks #1 or #2 best i think in MN

im thinking about going. anton u should move back up here. muahahaha we would raise hell

I was born and raised in N.D and left when i turned 18, but my family is still there. UND and NDSU are both excellent schools--many friends went to them and never said anything good. UND has had one of the best Div I hockey teams in the U.S for like the past 20 years so the school is known for them. Grand Forks is a little boring, but your not that far from Winnipeg (huge party town) or minneapolis. Cold in the winter and hot in the summer if you can handle it.
