Hey All,
So I am currently in the process of starting my build in my Honda Accord. I purchased a minty Orion 2500d as well as 2 Orion 4002's.
I would really like to run my Orion 2500d at a .5ohm load to push it to the max (it will be powering 2 SSA XCon's (1750 rms each). I was told that if i can keep my voltage up at .5 ohms that this amp can get near 3500rms (3000 is fine w/ me). fyi i also found users stating that the amp will want to draw around 400amps when ran at .5ohms??
What type of electrical upgrades do you think i will need in order to keep my voltage up around 14v and to stay put?
Here is what i have so far (not currently hooked up yet). Is this enough?
Big 3 Upgrade
1 XS Power D4700 2900 Amp 12 Volt (up front)
1 Kinetic HC3800 - 135AH - 3800W (in back)
1 Kolossus Fleks 0 Gauge Dual Amp Power Kit (OFC)
1 Singer Alternator - 240A - 160A idle (260A peak)??? I didn't buy this yet but will if needed, possibly bigger? They also offer the following direct bolt on's:
275A - 170A idle (310 peak)
320A - 180A idle (340 peak)
Fyi - both 4002 will be power a total of 12 other speakers at a total of 800wrms split
I also am running 55w HID headlights and 55w HID fogs if that matters.
I am trying to get this right so I do not have to change it later or spend/waste more money.
