anyone ever ship to a paypal UNCONFIRMED?

address in Canada? I've got a guy that bought my amp using paypal. come to find out the address is unconfirmed.

I told him either confirm that addy, show refs on a board, or I'll give you a refund and you can pay some other way.

Paypal leaves me pretty much unprotected from what I've read. What do you guys know?

1) ship to an unconformed address and they say they didnt order this they get their money back

2) you ship from US to cananda they say they never received they get their money back because paypal does not cover over the border transactions.

3) over the border deals like you described are the biggest con going on in forums second to only the nigeria money order scams.

xbox-scene has these scams happen to their membersall the time.

yo watch out for that stuff. i was sellin an alpine iva d310 on ebay and sum guy in jamaica bidded on my auction and he sent me a bank check and i cashed it. since i got the money i sent the package out. few days later the check comes back fraudulent. the guy gets a free item and i get a 1400 dollar check thats fake. dont do business out of united states. other countries have there own sellin market within there country so they have no excuse to get stuff out of country. believe me i know from experience since i owe the **** bank 1400 bucks and wanna kill this guy in jamaica.

I've shipped to unconfirmed addresses before (not in Canada though) and have yet to be scammed. however, I really dislike doing it. it doesnt take long at all to confirm an address, so either they dont know how to confirm it or theyre going to scam you. paypal will not cover your *** with unconfirmed addresses.

Your situation has nothing to do with the guy being in Jamaica. You should ALWAYS wait for personal checks, money orders or cashier's checks to clear before shipping an item no matter where they are from.

Hell, even if someone paypals me $$ I wait for the $$ to actually be transferred into my bank account before I ship. I make sure I have the money in my hand before an item leaves my possession.

I refunded the guy's paypal and told him I needed a money order. I don't think I'm gonna ship out of the country. Paypal says a verified and confirmed address gives seller protection, so I'll see.

Your situation has nothing to do with the guy being in Jamaica. You should ALWAYS wait for personal checks, money orders or cashier's checks to clear before shipping an item no matter where they are from.
Hell, even if someone paypals me $$ I wait for the $$ to actually be transferred into my bank account before I ship. I make sure I have the money in my hand before an item leaves my possession.

I totally agree, I always wait till money has been transferred before I ship.

I have done it before, however it was only items sold on ebay and the buyers seems really nice and had excellent feedback. I have yet to get foked shipping to an unconfirmed address. However I don't wanna take that chance so all my auction now say I only accept payment and ship if you have a confirmed account. Also something to check for. Say their home address is the verified address, if they were to give you their work address it would come up as unverified account. Just thought I'd let ya know that incase he's like "wtf I do have a confirmed address" . Took one of my buyers a month to get a little one pound package that was 200 miles away. All of that because she kept sending me her work address with payment not her home. That sucks bro, really something you should have already known. Any out of state check takes multiples days/possibly weeks to clear. They aren't gonna wait for it to clear to give ya the money.
