anyone ever root a tablet?

just got myself a spring samsung galaxy tab and am currently putting an emulator on it,

any root one and test what they can do?

never rooted a tablet,

but jailbroke ipod touches.

wondering if i could use this as a headunit replacement.

ive done this before through usb, but on the stereo i was able to switch it to device mode. so i still had the stereo but was able to use it as a screen for movies etc.

gotcha, im thinking about doing that as well.

anyone ever use any emulators? having some ecm file issues converting them to bin.

Rooting for android pretty much opens the gates to developers doing what ever they want to the os like theming over clocking undervolting better batt like and performance also allows you to back up your entire system so if U brick you can an revert back.

Now which galaxy tab so I have. The old one or the new 10.1.

ah... im assuming the new one... its within the last 3 months old.

this emulator is drivin me nutz...

i want to root it for that whole unlimited feel and universatality ( i know, not a word)

I'm a need for this I have both my Samsung galaxy phones rooted... I'll give U help in the morning with it
