anyone ever own an LT1?

Don't forget to factor in increased insurance and spending a good chunk of coin on gas with a car like that. Otherwise, it looks nice, the price isn't too horribly high. You *MIGHT* find a better deal if you shop around....but then...you might not. If you can afford it, and you like the car, and can put the gas in it every week (every other day? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif ) then go for it. Its not too much higher than bluebook to really sweat.

great engine, people that say swap for the ls1 don't understand the LT1 and its potential. I mean if you had a choice I woulda went LS1, but since you already got a great motor, stick with it... Great for boost when built correctly =) and no 4L60E so your safe haha. Hope the optispark doesn't shit out on ya, that will ****...

I would punch you in the ****in mouth if you test drove my Z28 doing 140mph //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
On another note, 5k for a 6-speed Z with that mileage isn't bad at all. LT1's, even beat on constantly run in the upper 100k's, as long as basic matinence was done to the car. Ignore the people saying it isn't a good deal, people who haven't owned cars like a Mustang or Camaro don't understand. They think every car made in 95 with 109k is worth the same.
it reallly surprised me at how fast it got to 140. it scared me a little bit with cars coming up infront me so thats why i let off, or else i would have kept goin to 150.

but ive decided to let this deal go. and wait for another car to come along. hopefully an LS1.

the insurance is no big deal

im a 20 year old male driver, with 1 accident.

it costs me $150/month full coverage on my 2000 ford focus sedan

it would cost me $166/month full coverage on the z28.

i feel like im getting ripped off on my focus.

Little to rich for my blood, but are fun cars.
I would also be pissed if I found out you just test drove my car at 140mph. I would have been like, yeah you are giving me the money for it now!
it was from the dealership i work at...plus you gotta drive it hard.

Wait.......what? You are going to have both of these cars? Cause they way you wrote it up there makes it sound like you are over 300 smacks a month for just insurance if you get this Camaro. Yikes!

Thats cool. I say see if they will come down some on it. By the way my Focus does 140 too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I don't have a normal Focus though.

Also I pay 85 smacks a month for full coverage on it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Fuel cost on this car is not as bad you may think, 18-25 on the street and 30+ on the highway from a 6 speed. It does call for 91+ octane so that could be a little more $. I am the type to have the extra HP and not always use it but I know I have it. as opposed to an underpowered 4 banger that gets 30 mpg.

No, I have the car that supposedly discontinued the SVT. I have the ST Focus with some mods done to it in intake, cams, exhaust, chip, port and polish and other shit. Looks all factory on the outside, but it goes. Does low 14's with it in the quarter. Had it smashed at 140 and kept going. Not sure how fast it actually went.
