Theyre Roadmaster mega-sound 15's Ive never heard of the brand and cant seem to find anything on them but a guy I know is selling them for 30 bucks so I figure I cant really lose out on them. theyre like 200 watts Rms and have 30oz magnets.
sure, for 30 bucks, buy another 30 bucks worth of mdf and pvc pipe, then you have some bass. Roadmaster has always been a direct competitor to Pyle or Boss or visoniK etc. Just cheap chit...but for 30 bucks, give it a whack...might try to build a box that would also fit some decent 15's that you could use in the same box later.Theyre Roadmaster mega-sound 15's Ive never heard of the brand and cant seem to find anything on them but a guy I know is selling them for 30 bucks so I figure I cant really lose out on them. theyre like 200 watts Rms and have 30oz magnets.
now wait a minute, we all agree the subs are crapola...but for $15 each? c'mon, give the guy a break If he builds a decent box that will also fit a decent pair of subs, he is ahead. I don't know if he has an amp or not..If not, something like the Alpine would power a couple of decent 500w subs or whatever down the road too....then he might swap the Alpine and some cash for a bigger amp as a further upgrade later...I am just tossing ideas out there. All he asked was if anyone had heard of them or not.if you enjoy waisting your money on something you wont be pleased with go ahead
That's the thing several of us "HAVE" heard of them and know for a fact there is nothing that company turns out worth any of your/mine/his money no matter what the reason! if he buys these he will not be ahead! He will in fact be 30.00 behind!now wait a minute, we all agree the subs are crapola...but for $15 each? c'mon, give the guy a break If he builds a decent box that will also fit a decent pair of subs, he is ahead. Deals are great and theres nothing wrong with learning , but you don't want to find out whats junk the hard way, but I am dead serious this brand is bottom barrel stuff and a smaller setup would be a better way to learn as a box for two 15"s is going to eat through some money for materials and supplys. I'm not trying to p!ss on your parade I am telling you look around and go for some used equipment for a few bucks more, i'm not suggesting a 2k rms system but something like a single ported ten on 300rms would do a lot more and sound ssssssoooooo much better.Yeah thanks. Quackhead has commented on a couple of my other threads on here. Im just getting into car audio and im just tryin to learn a little and find a good starting place for my first system. Right now im just shopping around and tryin to see if I can come across any deals
I bought my 16-mc2000d for 300, I would think it would better spent on a 200 amp 80 towards the box/material and about 120 towards the sub, I got these for 150.00 and this amp for 300 so a total of 50.00 more then you want to spend! so like I stand behind look around!buy decent $300 amp, then buy the ****** subs and wood to build a nice box. and when you have more $$$ upgrade to some nice subs. and then you will have a decent setup. What kind of head unit are you using.
