Before anyone says anything, I did post a similar message in the Local section of the forums, but I know this side gets way more exposure. Please don't delete this thread mods.
Application is:
2006 Super Air Nautique wakeboard boat. The boat is at my house on my lift in my boat house. I don't have a trailer, so who ever comes to help me with the install would come to my house. The install is pretty straight forward since it is a boat and has plenty of room to work. The stock set up currently has six Polk Audio speakers on the interior of the boat (4 in the rear + 2 in the bow). It also has two pairs of Polk Audio speakers in cans, mounted at the tower. There is also one ten inch Polk Audio subwoofer in a compartment next to a cooler. The interior speakers are powered by a 5 channel Clarion Marine Amplifier, and the tower speakers are powered by a 2 channel Clarion Marine Amplifier as well.
I am changing out the stock subwoofer set up, and the tower speakers to something more powerful. I have on order:
(2) Pairs of NVS Prodigy tower speakers.
(1) 12 inch Subwoofer (Still deciding between an IDmax or a JL12W7)
(1) Prefabricated Marine Grade box built to spec.
(1) Marine Grade Equalizer with PA system
(1) JL Audio 12 Volt Power Connection system
(1) Kicker ZX750.1 Mono Amp for the sub
(1) Kicker ZX850.4 Amp for the tower speakers
The speaker wiring is all pre-existing. We will be using the stock Clarion amplifiers to power all of the interior speakers. Using the 4/5 channel Clarion to power the 4 rear speakers in the boat and using the 2 channel Clarion to power the 2 speakers in the bow.
Total install for someone experienced with car audio would take no more than 6 hours if that. I have pictures for anyone whos interested. Please PM me. Thanks so much.
