zierbox THAT IS SOME CRAZY WORK MAN!

I am trying to an amp exactly like the one that you did in the White Mustang (trying to guess from the lights) Where do you buy you linear actuators from. (trying to find the cheapest spot that I can find) Do you also mind laying out everything that was needed to make that amp rack work? Where do you have the amp rack connecting to the rack itself? Are there rail guides on the top and bottom of the rack?

Please forgive the barage of questions I am just really trying to get this project finished.

Thanks in advance, and again that is some awesome work!

The set up in the Mustang is just like a Kitchen drawer

I used 20” Roller Ball Bearing Drawer slides (you can get these at most any hardware stores: Home depot, other)

The Drawer slides are on each side (the drawer slide out in-between the two sides with the three Amplifiers mounted to it)

I have three fan holes underneath for air flow on each Amplifier, when the drawer is closed

The Actuator is an 18” Acme drive (I have one mounted in the middle of the Rack; under the large center Amplifier)

The entire Assembly is bolted to the rear deck (need to make allows for noise and rattles)

The final trick is wire movement ! ! !

Select have some mounting brackets as well for the Actuators and other stuff like Controllers, Switches

Thanks again for the information and photos zierbox.

After making some measurements, I discovered that I only have 14" of length to work with in the area where I will be mounting the linear actuator. I also needed an actuator that had at least a 10" stroke length so I decided to go with the Motion Systems 85615 ball drive actuator.

The other pretty cool thing about this actuator is that it only needs a double

pole, double throw, center off momentary switch, so there is no extra controller to work. I will be placing my order tomorrow.

I did get a chance to look at the Select Products automation video and will most likely make my drawer the same way.
