Anyone care to guess my SPL ??

They had an audiocontrol SPL meter at a car show 2 weeks ago, so I thought I would give it a try. Found out how crazy power hungry my class a/b DLS A6 is as my amperage draw gauge was reading 135 amp draw and my front stage amps were off haha. Cannot beleive it was ******* that much current, or the gauge is just off and junk haha. I am an SQ guy so never really care about SPL but it did suprise me how loud they got for two sealed 12's. I was thinking mabey 134-136 range. Got a bit higher. Would love to see what they could do ported and tuned for SPL. I used one of my test cd's and went tone for tone. Hit my highest SPL at 49hz / had my crossover set wide open.

Any guesses?

2 IDmax 12's

Sealed 1.3qf ea

600rms per sub

Definitly felt like the subs could take more. I could hear the amp clipping when pushed really hard.

Good call *LOL* Close enough. 141.9 @ 49hz. Suprised me. Definitly did not expect to pass 140 sealed. After the first few notes I could not reproduce that number as I think my old redtop was getting the hell beat out of it with how much power the A6 was drawing non stop going from note to note. My guess anyways.

A car with two dd 15's and a ported box bigger than the @ss end of my car won the small event. Nailed a 148.x at the windshield
