Anyone buy the Alpine 9853??

I'm thinking about buying the Alpine 9853. Has it even come out yet? It looks like a sweet CD player. I wanna get some opinions on it from people that bought it or have tested it out before I go to buy it. Also how is that new touch glidebar?

I just got mine in today from Crutchfield and let me tell you, I am in love //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif The glidebar will take some getting use to, but i am already adjusting to it. I have one complaint so far and that would be when selecting an equalizer preset I can not move my finger over the bar enough to show me the new page, no big deal though considering I can easily select one with the remote control. The bar feels stiff and like it will not be showing any wear and tear for quite awhile. The menus, as always, could be better but thanks to the download feature you can easily cut out half of them. I found that to be a problem also but I start the slide from one side to the other and it goes to the next page. I have the 9855 but should be the same.

It says "Ready of iPod" on the specs for this unit. Does this mean that an iPod can connect straight to it, or is it just ready for their iPod interface box?

You need the iPod interface box.

One nice feature is that on your preset radio stations you can just scroll your finger across and it will show you what station is saved to that spot. I also like all the display options for mp3's. Here it is showing the folder name in the middle and the song title in the top left hand corner.
